My sincere condolences for the loss of your dear Ernest. Our wonderful God Jehovah is no doubt saddened too, as he mourns along with us, since we are created in his image (Genesis 1:27).  However, he has made for us a provision in the form of the resurrection  (Acts 24:15). There will also be a time when death will be no more (Revelation 21:3,4).  So while we greive now for those lost in death, the best is yet to come! For more information, please go to JW.org.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in knowing that death is not the end. The Bible promise; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:28,29) The Bible gives us hope that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life.

my many condolences to a man that I admired...he took pictures of me when I was but a teenager, that I have always treasured...sympathy goes to the family that will miss him, and to the community of Winnsboro that honored him as an artist.

As the photographer for school portraits and activities during the five years I attended Mount Zion Institute, Ernest Ferguson was an important part of the lives of thousands of students in our school days there. He also captured the smiles and happiness of many a bride in and around Winnsboro, including myself on my wedding day. He drove around our state and photographed the natural beauty of such magnificent places as the Edisto Memorial Rose Gardens in Orangeburg, SC., the sea oats along the SC coast, and Table Rock Mountain in Pickens, SC. He reared his children here and always worked for the betterment of education and progress of others in Winnsboro and Fairfield County. Not only did he grow the biggest and most delicious vegetables and most gorgeous roses of any gardener around him, but he also shared them generously and graciously with his many neighbors and friends. Would that more people cared and shared as much as he. Endowed with a wonderful dry wit and enthusiasm for whatever cause he espoused, he was a true Southern gentleman in every respect. May his memory be photographed in the minds and hearts of his loved ones and bring them as much joy as the photographs he recorded for those of us who appreciated his great talent and life. May God now reward his faithfulness to his church, his family, and his friends with eternal life and rest in the Lord and Savior he loved and served.—Selwyn and William Turner

We send our deepest sympathy to you all, during this difficult time! Mr Ferguson has been part of our family for many, many years, and we will miss him so much! Our family has so many beautiful photographs; and it wasn't easy getting all the Colemans to sit properly, at one time! Quite a "big undertaking" !
Mr Ferguson was a mainstay at Saint John's Church, and we will miss seeing and hearing him in the choir!
God Bless your family!🙏
Rest in peace, Mr Ferguson!
