The goods and services shown below are those Pope Funeral Home can provide to our customers. You may choose only the item you desire, however, any funeral arrangement you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services selected. We also are able to provide prayer cards, register books and other merchandise. 

Our basic service includes: 

  • Staff to respond to initial request for service

  • Arrangement conference with family or responsible party

  • Preparation and filing of necessary certificates and permits

  • Placement of obituary notices

  • Planning of funeral Arrangements

  • Coordination of service with cemetery

  • Vault companies and others as required

    Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses, this fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of funeral arrangements you select, (this fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains).

    Embalming

    Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

  • Visitation one hour prior 

  • Funeral ceremony in funeral home 

  • Memorial service in funeral home 

  • Use of equipment & staff for graveside service

  • Opening and Closing of grave

  • Automotive equipment 

  • Lead car with clergy 

  • Hearse, within county radius 

  • Transfer of remains to funeral home within county radius 

  • Flower truck delivery to cemetery 

  • Escort car within county radius

    Traditional funeral service:

  • Basic services of funeral director & staff & overhead

  • Embalming

  • Other preparations of body

  • Use of facilities & staff for viewing at funeral home

  • Use of facilities & staff for funeral at funeral home

  • Transfer of remains to funeral home

  • Cemetery Equipment Rental

  • Opening and Closing of grave

  • Caskets: are available (a complete price list will be provided at the funeral home).

  • Outer burial containers are available (a complete price list will be provided at the funeral home).

  • Full Service Cremation: 

  • Basic services of funeral director and staff

  • Embalming

  • Other preparation of the body

  • Rental Casket

  • Use of facilities & staff for visitation

  • Use of facilities& staff for funeral service

  • Transfer of remains to our funeral home

  • Hearse

  • Cremation caskets and containers are available (a complete price list will be provided at the funeral home).

  • Cremation urns: are available (a complete price list will be provided at the funeral home).

  • Direct cremation (without ceremony): 

  • Basic services of funeral director & staff

  • A proportionate share of overhead costs

  • Removal of remains

  • Transportation to crematory

  • Necessary authorizations

  • Cremation urns: are available (a complete price list will be provided at the funeral home).

    If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container, alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering).-the containers we provide are a plastic box.

    Immediate burials (without ceremony): 

  • Basic services of funeral director & staff

  • A proportionate share of overhead costs

  • Removal of remains

  • Local transportation to the cemetery (this charge does not include cemetery costs.)

    Forwarding remains to another funeral home: 

  • Basic services of funeral director & staff

  • Embalming Necessary authorizations

  • Local transportation

    This charge does not include visitation, rites, or ceremonies prior to forwarding of the body.

    Receiving remains from another funeral home: 

  • Temporary shelter of remains

  • Basic services of staff

  • Local transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory.

    This charge does not include visitation, rites or ceremonies.

    This list does not include prices for certain items that you may ask us to buy for you such as cemetery or crematory services, flowers, and newspaper notices. The prices for those items will be shown on your bill or the statement describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
