Junior Willard Joye "JW"

Mr. Junior Willard “JW” Joye, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016.  Born in Darlington, SC, he was the son of the late O. Willard and Dessie Miller Joye.  JW retired from the SC Army National Guard and Uniroyal.  A proud BBQ Champion, JW enjoyed his many championships and BBQ friends. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 11 and member of Lake Wateree Baptist Church. 

JW is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pansy G. Joye; two daughters, Cheryl Hartness (John) and Janet Joye both of Blythewood; one granddaughter, Amanda Bell Periera (Ron) and one great grandson, Will Periera. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2016 at Lake Wateree Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Mike Pelham with burial at Stephen Greene Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Pope Funeral Home in Winnsboro. 

In addition to his parents, JW is predeceased by his son, Luther Garrett Joye; and brother, Jimmy Aaron Joye.
