Thomas Goulding Douglas, 77, died on Friday, November 15, 2019. He was born on May 11, 1942 in Winnsboro, SC. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carole Love Douglas. A son, Gregg (Andrea) Douglas of Ridgeway, SC; daughters, Denise (Alan) Dale of Blythewood, SC, and Lisa (Rick) Noyes of Pinehurst, NC. 6 Grandchildren, Hayden Dale, Alexander Douglas, Zoe Dale, Palmer Noyes, Jonathan Douglas, and Sally Noyes.
Brothers, Marion (Peach) Douglas, Belvedere, SC; Wallace S. (Jean) Douglas, Moore, SC. Sisters, Mary Ann Hay, Ridgeway, SC; and Evelyn (Ray) Long, Blythewood, SC. Sister-in-law, Laura (John) Martin, St Matthews, SC. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. And, Max Elbaydoumi and family. He was predeceased by a brother, H. E. Douglas, Jr., and Leslie B. Douglas; a sister, Sara Wells; Brother-in-law, John Love.
Mr. Douglas was a member of the Ridgeway Masonic Lodge #30, A&FM and a member of the York Rite. He worked with BiLo and the A&P Groceries in Winnsboro, SC. He was a member of the South Carolina Army National Guard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock, Monday, November 18, 2019 at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Athon Arant officiating. Burial will be in New Hope ARP Church cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends, Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at Pope Funeral Home.
