Sylvia Steen Zickmund

Sylvia Steen Zickmund, 79, of Winnsboro passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.  Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Nellie Gainey Steen. 

She is survived by her two sons, Terri Self and Carson Self (Marie); three daughters, Laura Gates (Chuck), Robin McWatters (Erk), and Jan Moore (Tim); four sisters, Margie Coker (Kelly), Carolyn Pate, Ruby Cook, and Linda McClure (Woody); eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Frederick Zickmund, Sylvia is predeceased by a daughter, Sherry Self; two brothers, Carson Steen and Lenson Steen; and one sister, Sue Blackman. 

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 pm at Pope Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 10, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Cemetery.
