Sandra Shull Baker, cherished wife of Bruce Baker, loving mother to Pattie, Kelly, and Bruce, and Mimi to too many to name, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family and close friends.
Born February 1, 1944 to the late William Floyd and Pearl Louise Shull, Sandra grew up in the Olympia Mills neighborhood of Columbia, SC.
In addition to her parents and husband, Walter Bruce Baker, Sandra was predeceased by sisters Betty Corder and Joann Bannister, and brother Steve Shull.
Sandra is survived by daughters Pattie Baker Edwards (Robert) and Kelly Baker Brown (Roderick), and son Walter Bruce Baker Jr. (Carrie). Grandchildren are Zach Edwards, B Baker, RJ Brown, Brinson Baker, Kate Baker, and Alexa Brown. Also left to cherish many memories of Mimi are surrogate children Julie Gibson and Patti & Joe Wilkes, and grandchildren Matthew Wilkes, Jeni-Bruce Wilkes Teeters, Adrian Wilkes, Thomas Wilkes, DJ Gibson, and Zach Askins.
As a family friend shared, "Mimi was hands down the most loving, fun, and sweet-n-sassy Mimi. Everyone was always blessed when able to spend time with her. Everyone was her “Baby”."
Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 3:00, at First Baptist Church cemetery, conducted by Reverend James McManus. For everyone’s safety, social distancing will be implemented, and masks are required.
The family will remain graveside for visitation or you may choose to visit the family at the home located at 988 State Highway 200, Winnsboro.
The family suggests that memorials are sent to Richard Winn Academy, PO Box 390, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
