Robert Kirkpatrick Pope, Jr.

Robert Kirkpatrick “Bobby” Pope, Jr., 89, of Winnsboro passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.  Born in Fairfield County, he was the son of the late Robert K. Pope, Sr. and Jenny Louise Shedd Pope. 

Bobby is survived by his wife, Ann Busbee Pope; two sons, Robert K. “Rob” Pope, III and Edward B. Pope (Heather); daughter, Jennifer P. DuRant (Thomas); five grandchildren, Tom DuRant (Mary Page), Josh DuRant, Emily DuRant Fish (Kenny), Zach DuRant, and Evie Pope; and one great grandchild on the way (Tom and Mary Page). 

Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock AM Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Lebanon Presbyterian Church conducted by Reverend Matthew Coplin.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends after the committal in the church fellowship hall. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Bobby’s memory to Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Richard Winn Academy, or the Clarendon Christian Learning Center.
