Reverend Thomas Shane Martin

Reverend Thomas Shane Martin, 47, of Winnsboro passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019.  Born in Greenville, he was the son of Rev. Gerald Clifton Martin and Brenda Elrod Martin.  

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cara Allen Martin; two sons, Luke Thomas and Owen James Martin; two brothers, Brent Martin (Marian) and Chris Martin; one sister, Tami Martin Sickels (Jim); and many nieces and nephews. 

Shane was the current Pastor of Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Winnsboro, SC.  Before coming to Lebanon, he was the Pastor of Green Run Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA for 15 years.  Along with being a Pastor, Shane was also a career fireman, first with Hampton Fire and Rescue in Virginia, and then as a volunteer with Lebanon Fire Department in Winnsboro. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock PM Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Richard Winn Academy, 1796 Old Chester Road, Winnsboro, SC 29180 conducted by Reverend James McManus.  Burial will follow in Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 8002 Newberry Road, Winnsboro, SC 29180.  The family will receive friends after the committal by the graveside. The service will be live streamed. The link will be posted before the service.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Martin Fund.
