She is survived by her husband, Edward Culbreth, Jr.; two sons, Jeff Croom (Marcia), and Matt Culbreth (Kerrie); three daughters, Jennifer Croom, Elizabeth Culbreth Ortel, and Sarah Culbreth Hoover (John); brother, Ray Spigner (Glenda), as well as ten loving grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Pam is predeceased by two sons, Michael (Coty) Culbreth and Barry (Del) Croom; and sister, Brenda Spigner Hall.
Pam Culbreth was known for her kindness and caringness. Some would say she embodies the scripture from the Sermon on the Mount. She was always ready to help in any way she could. As for Pam’s early life, after she graduated from Winnsboro High School, she went to school at Columbia Business and modeled for Millie Lewis Modeling agency. She worked for Belk in Winnsboro, then worked as a substitute teacher and teacher’s aide at Elon College Elementary School. She worked tirelessly as the PTA President of Socastee Elementary School in Myrtle Beach, SC. After one year, she was elected to PTA President of Horry County while still serving as a substitute teacher from time to time. After her youngest child, Coty, was born, Pam decided to step down from being a substitute teacher and become a stay at home mom. Here she enjoyed cooking, reading, and studying the word or God. She will be missed, however, NEVER Forgotten.
A church memorial service will be held on November 7 at 2:00pm at Steven Green Baptist Church, 500 Seventh Street. Winnsboro, SC 29180. Social distancing will be implemented, and masks are required.
The family asks instead of flowers, a memorial be given to the South Carolina Cancer society.
Pope Funeral Home is assisting the Culbreth family.
