Pamela Sue Baldwin, 58, of Blythewood passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Born in Pontiac, MI, she was the daughter of the late Gaylord Coleman and Linda Hunt White.
Pam enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, which included many weekends spent shopping, drinking coffee, working outside and spending time by the pool. Her favorite color was yellow, reflected in her colorful wardrobe and love of sunflowers.
Though she battled Type 1 Diabetes and its complications for nearly 45 years, and skin cancer for close to 7, she was strong, courageous and incredibly tenacious in fighting each trial life threw her way. Each individual she came into contact with was blessed by her sense of humor and genuine interest in their life. It did not take much for Pam to make a new friend as evidenced by relationships forged through church, her nail salon, hair salon, place of work and throughout the local community.
Pam was deeply devoted to her family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. Pam's favorite day of the week was Sunday afternoon, when she and her husband, her daughter, and son-in-law would frequently gather together for dinner.
She was also quite the lover of animals and could often be found spending time with her two dogs and two cats, which Pam lovingly termed her "friends".
In her working days, Pam was a successful pharmaceutical sales-rep for Novo-Nordisk and Disetronic/Roche which supplied diabetic medical supplies. During her career in sales Pam was recognized number one sales representative nationally multiple times. She was a Diabetes Educator and for many years was actively involved with a local summer camp specifically designed for children with Type 1 Diabetes.
She is survived by her husband, Neil Richard Baldwin; daughter, Autumn Grace Jacob (Reuben); brother, Rodney Coleman White; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to either the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
No service is planned at this time.
Pope Funeral Home is assisting the Baldwin family.
