Miriam Cooper Obituary

Miriam Center Cooper, 94, of Winnsboro passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 surrounded by family.  Born in Winnsboro on May 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Marion and Alma Dixon Center. 

She is survived by her husband, Heyward C. Cooper; and son, Heyward Clinton “Clint” Cooper, Jr. and his wife Jill of Lexington, SC.

In addition to her parents, Miriam is predeceased by her sisters Katherine, Alma, Mary Lee, Tallulah, Marion, and brother Thomas.

A graveside service will be held at 3 o’clock P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at First United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Reverend Rebekah Carpenter.  The family will receive friends after the service by the graveside.  Social distancing will be implemented, and masks are required. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Miriam’s memory to Sion Presbyterian Church, 116 W. Washington Street, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
