The ending of life on earth came for Terry on Saturday, July 22, 2023. It was a full life with family and more friends than he thought he deserved.

Terry was the youngest of eight children. He was Born to Abie Kelly, Sr. and Evelyn Roberts Kelly (Guyton) in Fairfield County at Dr. McCant’s hospital.

Terry is survived by a son, Melton Terry Kelly, Jr. (Tee) and daughter-in-law Sarah and partner in marriage, Iris Cooper Kelly. He claimed Iris’ children as his own: Teresa Moody, Tracy Moody and Gerald Moody. Terry was the proud granddaddy of Trent Isenhower, Landen Kelly, JohnThomas Blair and Annalise Kelly; and the proud great grandfather of Trenton Isenhower, Jr.

Surviving siblings: Claudette Tribble (Paul), Gene Kelly (Vickie), Patricia Alemi (Craig) and Mary Gail Douglas.

Preceded in death: Abie Kelly, Sr. and Evelyn Roberts Kelly (Guyton). Brothers: Spencer Kelly and

Abie Kelly, Jr. (Bug) and sister, Loretta Hinson.

Terry owned The Village Pool Room for most of his work life. In 2009, he became employed by Carolina Adventure World; a job that defined him in so many ways. He loved meeting people; he loved being outdoors and his joy came from helping others. Terry’s biggest boasting point was the fact that he missed one day of work in his 13 1/2 years there. Our family will always hold Carolina Adventure World as a special place because it was so special to him. One of his many concerns was “Make sure somebody looks after those cats.”

He was so proud of Tee and the Christian man that he has become. Terry left this world knowing he was going to see those who he has missed and also knowing he would be reunited one day with those he is leaving behind. This is the season of living in God’s promises. He will be missed by many.
