Mabel Joye Ward

Mabel Joye Ward, 100, of Daniel Island, formerly of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023.  Born in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late Acue and Irene Miller Joye. 

She is survived by her son, John C. Taylor (Martha); daughter, Joye Honeycutt (Jim); and four grandchildren; Bain Taylor (Mary Ann), Brian Taylor (Leslie), Justin Honeycutt (Adrian), Cooper Honeycutt (Erin); and 8 great grandchildren.   

In addition to her parents, Mabel is predeceased by her first husband John Carroll Taylor, second husband David Junior Ward; 2 brothers, Stoll Joye, Haskell Joye; and sister, Helen Joye Jordan.    

A graveside service will be held at 11 o’clock AM Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at First United Methodist Church Cemetery in Winnsboro.  The family will receive friends after the service by the graveside. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mabel’s memory to First United Methodist Church, or Epworth Children’s Home.
