Laconia Hill Peake

Laconia H. Peake, 83, of Ridgeway went home to her Lord on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha Bell Hill. 

She is survived by her three sons, Cale Peake of Columbia, Bruce, and Richard Peake of Ridgeway; three grandchildren, Justin Peake, Sam Connell, and Curtis West; 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Laconia is predeceased by her husband, Charles William Peake; sisters, Dorothy Hill and Gail Nesbitt; and brothers, Robert Hill, Thomas Hill, Clarence Hill, Kenneth Hill, and Gilbert Hill.   

A celebration of Laconia’s life will be held at 11:00 Am Friday, September 29, 2023, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Ridgeway. A burial will follow in Sawney’s Creek Old Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM Thursday evening at Pope Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanual Baptist Church or the South Carolina Alzheimer’s Association.
