Joseph Jerome Perez

Mr. Joseph Jerome Perez, 75, of Winnsboro passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018.  Born in Key West, FL, he was the son of the late Geronimo and Lydia G. Perez. 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hellen Wilson Perez; two sons, Joseph Scott Perez, and Michael Jerome Perez; brother, Anthony Perez; three sisters, Alice Jean McKee, Martha Padrone, and Theresa Fernandez; six grandchildren, Austin LeGrand (Megan), Dillon Cail, Haze Perez, Maggie Perez, Isabella Perez, and Savannah Perez; and one great grandson, Gunner LeGrand. 

In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by a brother, Richard E. Perez; sister, Rose Marie Perez; and daughter, Sharon Perez Cail.  

Joe was a Vietnam Veteran and beloved member of the community.  

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Stephen Greene Memorial Gardens conducted by Reverend Jimmie Burroughs.  The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Pope Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stephen Greene Baptist Church, 500 Seventh Street, Winnsboro, SC 29180, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
