Obituary
Gene Wesley Bass, Sr., 89, of Winnsboro passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. Born in Winnsboro, he was the son of the late Gary Franklin Bass, Sr. and Mary Madora Fields Bass.
He is survived by his sons, Gene Wesley Bass, Jr., and James Marion Bass (Kim); and three grandchildren, Ryan Wesley Bass, Aaron James Bass, and Allyson Kim Bass.
In addition to his parents, Gene is predeceased by his wife, Gladys Songy Bass; brother, Gary Franklin Bass, Jr.; and sister, Joyce Pope.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Am Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Sion Presbyterian Church. The family will receive visitors after the service in the church. The burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sion Presbyterian Church.
Pope Funeral Home is assisting the Bass family.
