Faron L Hood, Sr.

Faron Lerue Hood, Sr., 65, of Ridgeway passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.  Born in Ridgeway, he was the son of the late Wylie and Midred Nelson Hood. 

Faron is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cynthia Meisner Hood; son, Faron L. Hood, Jr.; brother, Stanley Hood; stepdaughter, Melanie Ann Andrews; six grandchildren, Taylor Peay, Kaughner Peay, Austin Peay, Mary Esther Machen, Jeremy Hardestey, and Christopher Andrews; and one great grandson, Roman. 

In addition to his parents, Faron is predeceased by six brothers, Jimmie, Glenn Edward, Barry, Donnie, and Ricky Hood: and stepson, David Peay. 

Graveside services with Masonic rights will be held at 11 o’clock AM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Old Sawneys Creek Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Reverend Dean Reynolds and Reverend Richard Humphries.  The family will receive friends after the service by the graveside. Social distancing and masks are strongly suggested.
