Carol Ann Morris Bass

Carol Ann Morris Bass, 80, of Winnsboro passed away at her home, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  Born in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ola Mae Robinson Morris. 

She is survived by her husband, Ben Bass, Jr.; son, Ben Bass, III; daughter, Jennifer Bass Walling; and five grandchildren, Bryant Bass, Kourtney Bass, Kayla (Chris) Fain, David Walling, and Hunter Bass. 

In addition to her parents, Carol Ann is predeceased by her son, Christopher Bass; and two sisters, Sandi Cooper, and Glenda “Tig” Coker.  

Carol Ann was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother “Jimmy,” “MeMe,” Aunt, Sister and Friend. She had a passion and love for nursing and retired from Fairfield Memorial Hospital where she worked as an Emergency Room Nurse.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Saturday evening, March 18, 2023, at Pope Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Stephen Greene Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Ethan Brown.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff Coker, Dennis Coker and Terry Coker (Nephews)

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Carol Ann’s memory to Stephen Greene Baptist Church.
