Billy Eugene Kelly, 90, of Winnsboro passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019. Born in Winnsboro, he was the son of the late James Eugene and Ella Sims Kelly.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Annette Edenfield Kelly; son, Woody (Sheila) Kelly of Elgin; daughters, Debbi Lewis of Winnsboro and Stacy Kelly of Columbia; four grandchildren, Dannon Campbell, Jarett Campbell, Sarah Lowder (Allen), and Maria Kelly; and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie LaCons and Marc Singleton.
In addition to his parents, Billy is predeceased by a sister, Betty Louise Kelly.
He was a lifelong member of Stephen Greene Baptist Church always welcoming people with his smile. He retired as a Sergeant Major after 38 years in the South Carolina Army National Guard. He also had a 35 year career at Allied Chemical as an Accountant. An avid fisherman, Billy was also an Eagle Scout and enjoyed leisure travel with Annette after retirement. He was a loving, devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and true Southern Gentleman and man of God.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock PM Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Stephen Greene Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Dr. Mickey Cockrell. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the committal by the graveside.
