Mrs. Betty Jean Cromer Coleman, 89, of Lexington passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. Born in Newberry on June 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George Bachman and Eugenia Gilliam Cromer.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Caldwell (Johnny) and Joyce Murphy (James “Bo”); four grandchildren, Heath Caldwell (Shannon), Daniel Murphy (Courtney), Kimberly Coleman, and Jacob Coleman; and seven great-grandchildren, Tripp and Molly Claire Caldwell, John Ryan Sharpe, Hollis and Paxton Murphy, and Aubree and Ryleigh Arms.
In addition to her parents and husband, John “Jack” P. Coleman, Betty is predeceased by her son, John P. Coleman, Jr., and granddaughter, Jenni Caldwell Sharpe.
Graveside services will be held at 2 o’clock PM Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by Reverend Richard Hodges. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.
