Alexander Blair Rabb

Alexander Blair Rabb, 86, of Winnsboro passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023.  Born in Fairfield County, he was the son of the late Saddie Smith and William R. Rabb, Sr. 

Alex was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church where he was lead usher, taught Sunday school, and member of the United Methodist Men.  He retired after 43 years in Pharmaceutical Sales with McKesson Pharmaceuticals in Columbia. He was a great companion to his loving wife “Kitty” whom which were married 55 years. Alex loved his church and his family, especially his grandchildren and the Powers girls.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

In addition to his loving wife, Alex is survived by his daughter, Jane Blair Rabb Watkins (Marcus); three grandchildren, Alex Gilbert, Madeline Gilbert, and Hayden Watkins; sisters in law, Lucy Rabb, wife of John, Edna Ruff, Doris Douglas (Morris), Beverly Anne Elledge (Paul), and Ann Tefs; and dearly loved nieces and nephews, Kathy, Sally, Derrick, Johnny, Scottie, and Bill.  

He is predeceased by his three brothers, William R. Rabb (Katherine), Jr., Rogers L. Rabb (Mary Florence), and John W. Rabb. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, May 22, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro conducted by Reverend Steve Elkins.  The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Alex’s memory to First United Methodist Church, 109 W. College Street, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
