Addlia Felton Mincey “Buck”, 82, of Winnsboro passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 surrounded by family. Born in Fairfield County, he was the son of the late Felton and Cleavie Rish Mincey.
In addition to working in the timber business as a shop foreman for the majority of his life, Buck enjoyed spending time at his shop whether it was working on machines, trucks, handling his farm animals or simply just wasting time. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as much as he could. Also, he thoroughly enjoyed his mornings spending time with
friends at The Barn Express for breakfast, talking for hours and hours and catching up about their daily lives.
Buck is survived by his wife of 61 years, Darlene Cooper Mincey; son, Jeffrey Shane Mincey (Denise); daughter, Millie Mincey Lambert (David); eight grandchildren; Kerrigan Kennington (Chris); Connor Little, Erin Stofan (Hunter); Allyson Burkholder (Dylan); Morgan Mincey, Shane Mincey (Lisa); Kim Corn (James); Shannon Thompson (Brandon) and twelve great grandchildren; Bentley, Noah, Mills, Bristol, Blake, Brynn, Kreede, Lincoln, Easton, Barrett, Langley, Ellic and one unborn great grandson.
In addition to his parents, Buck is predeceased by his sister, Annette Dove.
Buck will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was always willing to help anyone in need and will be missed dearly by all of those who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held Saturday March 7th 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Royal Pines Memorial Gardens in Winnsboro, South Carolina. The family will receive friends after the service by the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Buck’s name to Fairfield County Animal Shelter or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
