Dear Tommy,Richard, and family , I was so sorry to hear of Miss Nelle's passing. She was a great teacher and role model to generations of students in Fairfield county. We all loved her and always looked forward to going to music class. When we walked into her room, we all knew that it was going to be the most'' fun'' hour of the day. I'll never forget the first chorus class of my 7th grade year. we came in and started to sing and Ms Sprott stopped and said, " Len, your voice has changed." I thought she was going to cry. If Heaven has an auditorium, Miss Nelle is playing "Under The Double Eagle" as everyone marches in. God bless you, Ms Sprott. We will never forget you!

Nelle will never have to face the last enemy death, ever again. In the meantime, her acts of faith live on until she stands up alive and whole in the Paradise.
Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

My husband and I would like to express our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of your beloved Nellie. Although we hadn’t had the opportunity to meet Nellie personally we do understand the pain of losing one so dear. We would like to share with you comfort we have experienced from Gods word, found in 2 Corinthians 1:3,4. Our Heavenly Father is truly a wonderful God of comfort, he is always there for the broken hearted and those crushed in spirit ( Psalm 34;18) Please take a few moments, share your memories with those who surround you, for the memories shared are the ones most truly cherished, may they bring you comfort and peace as you begin to heal.Take care of yourselves and each other during this very difficult time.

I'm 52 now and have loved Mrs. Sprott's Tricentennial songs since we sang them in the third grade. My teacher at what is now H.B. Rhame Elementary in Columbia was Margaret Wright. She had a piano in her classroom and we must have sung those songs a lot because I have always remembered them and loved them. I had the privilege of playing the piano last week for the 3rd grade S. C. History program at Irmo Elementary which featured many of those songs. What a treasure Mrs. Sprott was to our state.

So much to say and even more to feel about the loss of this beautiful and talented human being. Nelle was one of the most optimistic, intelligent, positive and talented beloved women in my corner of the world. I cherished being able to call her my cousin. Her presence in this crazy world will be sorely missed, but she is no doubt being welcomed with great celebration in the spirit world.

My heart is with you, Tommy and Richard, and your families, and of course with you, Laurens, as well as the nieces and nephews who loved Nelle dearly. You will be in my heart in the days ahead. Sadly, I won't get to be with you in Winnsboro tomorrow, but I want very much to see you soon. Peace and love to each and all.

Miss Nellie, as I knew her, was a true Southern Lady, with the voice of an angel. She was so much fun when she and Mr. Tom would attend parties at my parents'(Edie and Jack Hilton) home. I loved her very much!! Heaven has gained a rare soul I in the Heavenly choir. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. God Bless!!

Dear Tommy and Jeanne,

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Sprott's passing; the death of one's Mother is something with which we three now can relate. I think of Marianne often. I am glad that you have each other for consolation.

I will always remember Mrs. Sprott first as my music teacher at Mt. Zion then as Miriam's dear mother-in-law and mother to Richard and Tommy, and then NeNe to Marion and Hall. What a dear, elegant lady. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Prayers for the Sprott family and cherish your many memories.

It is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Nelle. Please accept my condolences and know that our loving God is keenly aware of your distressing pain. His comforting word assures us that in due time, he will eliminate all suffering on earth, including death. Notice how the Bible stresses that fact in the faith strengthening video link below:

Yeah, when I looked at the video, I thought about that man that asked Jesus if ye would remember him. I guess it's possible for even criminals to come back to life. Amazing!! But, why?
