Margaret Louise Yongue Painter

Margaret Louise Yongue Painter, 81, went home to be with the Lord on February 5th, 2018 surrounded by her entire family.

Margaret was a native of Fairfield County, SC. Margaret graduated from Charlotte Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 and went on to work there for years until she went to Wesley Nursing Center. She retired years later from Fairfield County Home Health. Margaret spent years in retirement enjoying camping, cooking, reading, bluegrass festivals, and her family. She would also want it to be known she was a dedicated Clemson fan.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Frances Yongue, sister, Kate Mann, brothers, George Yongue Jr. (Bub) and John Webb Yongue (JW).

Margaret is survived by her husband of 60 years, Garland L. Painter Jr., son, Mike & Sharon Painter, daughters, Debbie and Terry McKnight, Cindy and Robbie Honeycutt, and step daughter, Teresa and Benny Bright, brothers, Charlie Yongue, David Yongue, and sister, Hester Shank

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Salem Presbyterian Church where a memorial service will be held on Friday, February 9th at 2 pm. The address for Salem Presbyterian Church is 276 State Highway 215 N, Blair, SC, 29015.
