John "Jack" Pope Obituary
John "Jack" Porter Pope, 68, aka, "Preacher" of Winnsboro, passed away at home. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Lewis C. and Edith Inez Porter Pope.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Virginia “Ginger” Hilden Pope; two sons, John H. “Deacon” Pope (Jasmine) and Jason B. Pope (Alexandria); brother, Will Pope (Pattie); and one grandson, Kaiden Pope.
In addition to his parents, Jack is predeceased by his brother, Carroll Pope.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at 2 o’clock PM Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Lebanon Presbyterian Church cemetery conducted by Reverend Shane Martin. The family will receive friends after the service at the Pope Home.
