Jane Temple Haynes, 91, of Winnsboro passed away on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, 2018. Born on June 24, 1926 in Petersburg, VA., she was the daughter of Raymond E. and Edith Layman Temple. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Sion Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Earl Ogburn and Reverend Richard Kelly. The family will receive friends after the service by the graveside.
Jane worked faithfully at International Paper Company and was a member of Sion Presbyterian Church. During that time, she served the Lord as Sunday School teacher, senior high advisor, circle member, spiritual enrichment coordinator for the Presbyterian Women and various positions with Sion Presbyterian Women, and faithfully typed and ran the church bulletins for many years. For the last ten years she has enjoyed the teachings of Dr. Estep of First Baptist Church Columbia.
Jane was the widow of John M. Haynes, II who passed in 1984. She is survived by her son, John M. Haynes, III, wife Constance H. Haynes; grandchildren, John M. Haynes, IV and Pressley Carrol Haynes; great grandchildren, Anna Rosa Cardona and Alice Sophia Haynes; brother-in-law Jimmy Haynes (Caroline) whom she dearly loved and cousin, Dub Miller who was like a son to her.
