Herbert Norris Hollis

Herbert Norris Hollis, 86, of Ridgeway passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018.  Born in Ridgeway on August 26, 1932, he was the son of the late John Palmer and Effie Joyner Hollis.  He was a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church and owner of Hollis Grocery in Ridgeway. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly A. Hollis; son, Gary T. Hollis (Lisa); daughter, Lisa E. Hollis; brother, Jack Hollis; and two sisters, Mildred Renew and Dorothy Riley. 

In addition to his parents, Norris is predeceased by two brothers, Wilber Hollis and Aaron Hollis. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 10, 2018 Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Reverend Dean Reynolds.  The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Norris’s memory to Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church, 14605 State Highway 34 E. Ridgeway, SC 29130.
