George Jason "Jay" Floyd, Sr.

George “Jay” Floyd, Sr., 51, of Winnsboro passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.  Born in Columbus, GA, he was the son of Maxie L. Floyd, Sr. and Regina Brown Dove. 

 In addition to his mother, Jay is survived by his husband, David Hennessey; son, George Jason Floyd, Jr.; three daughters, Crystal Kelly (Kevin), Jessica Price (Curtis), and Megan Langley (Corey); two brothers, Thaddeus Floyd (Pat) and Maxie L. Floyd, II; sisters, Regina Wright, Shannon Baughman (Jamie), and Dawne Burroughs (Jason); 8 grandchildren; and several loving aunts, nieces, and nephews. 

Jay is predeceased by his father, and brother, Dean Floyd. 

Memorial services will be held at 3 o’clock PM Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Winnsboro First Church of the Nazarene conducted by Pastor Matthew Alexander.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church.
