I am so sorry to hear about Ms.Reid. She is someone I remember fondly, even though she often had to get on me for procrastinating during my high school years. She gave me tough love when I needed it.

I just learned of Beth's passing today. I am so very saddened. She was a shining light for our family at a very difficult time many years ago.
Beth was clearly a child advocate of the highest nature. Her passion for life was palpable. Her impact is far reaching. She will be missed by this world at a time when we are in desperate need of her kindness & compassionate.

What a lady of dignity and strength! Mrs Reid, you have always inspired me. You taught me so much as my principal (as a student at Richard Winn and then as an SLP in my job at SCVCS). Every single day, you lived out your fighter mentality. You taught me so much about life lessons and leave such a legacy! I now know not only what strength is, but what courage is and exactly what it looks like! I watched you fight for educators, for students, for what is right, and all the while fighting for your life and still shining. Your upbeat persona and smiles in the face of pain, fear, and just bad days was and is more than inspiring! You were just absolutely superhuman. I am so proud that I can call you my leader. What a well rounded person you were, and what a life you led! I just appreciate you and am so thankful for the time I had with you.

Wow...Coleman, I can tell by your special comments, that you knew Beth very well. Her passion is to inspire others and to bring about positive change in this world. Beth did this by living her life to the fullest and by forging ahead when days were tough and unforgiving. Yes, Beth stood up for her staff and cherished the interaction that she had with them every day. Thank you again for your comforting words. Strong women "Rock"! And you're one. Beth's legacy will continue to live in me and in leaders like you. Thank you again! And "Don't Back Down"!
