Betty Jo Douglas Peay

Mrs. Betty Jo Douglas Peay, 80, of Winnsboro passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020.  Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Sarah Branham Douglas. 

 Betty Jo is survived by her two daughters, Sarah Peay Price and Miriam Peay Costenbader (Heath); two brothers, Larry Joe Douglas (Diane) and Jesse Lee Douglas (Brenda); sister, Carolyn Douglas Tanner (John); and four grandchildren, Austin and Sally Costenbader, and Patrick and Courtney Price. 

 In addition to her parents, Betty Jo is predeceased by her husband, Austin Ford Peay. 

 Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock PM Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Sion Presbyterian Church, 116 W. Washington Street, Winnsboro conducted by Reverend Rebekah Carpenter. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church fellowship hall.  Burial will follow the service in Longtown Presbyterian Church cemetery. 

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Betty Jo’s memory to Sion Presbyterian Church, 116 W. Washington Street, Winnsboro, SC 29180. 

 The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to MSA Hospice, Polly Phillips, Mary Plunkett, Linda Pullen, and Lenora Stroman for the excellent care they provided.
