Pamela Smith Obituary

Pamela Loftin Smith, 72, of Winnsboro passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.  Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Walter B. Loftin and Thelma Bryant Loftin. 

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Pearson Smith; son, Ronald Bradley Smith (Michele); grandson, Liam Pearson Smith; sister, Darlene L. Tate; niece, Nicole Louise Tate (Detrick); grandniece, Janena Louise Dorsey; grandnephew, Aviyon Lee Jackson; nephew, Joshua Walter Ramsden; grandniece, Cooper Kadence Ramsden; grandnephew, Tate Loftin Ramsden; brother, Butch Loftin (Debbie); niece, Tara Lindsey; grandnephew, Gage Lindsey; niece, Carlee Smith (Vic); grandniece, Brynlee Smith; brother-in-law, Stanley Erwin Smith (Gloria); nephew-in-law, Nathan Elliot Smith; sister-in-law, Sylvia Dianne Smith and many cousins. 

In addition to her parents, Pam is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Bobby Lee Tate.

Pallbearers are Joe Carter, Clarence Gilbert, Mike Kelly, Nick Spano, Larry Waters and Leon Witt.

She was a distinguished member of the Fairfield County Council of Aging, State Foster Child Board of Review, Sales Marketing & Executive Club of Tampa Bay member, USF Sun doll Dance Team Advisor and honorary member, Fairfield Museum and History Center board member, former Sunday School and Bible Studies teacher and a member of Redemption Church of God. She retired as Corporate Secretary & Treasurer at Gulf Coast Business Concepts and was retired from Colonial Life Accident & Insurance Company.

We would like to give a special thanks to Bridgette Bell and Nicole Tate and especially to Pam’s angel, Arlene Vance, who was there till the end.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 Pm Monday, March 18, 2024, at Redemption Church in Winnsboro. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church. Burial will follow the service at Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pam’s memory to the Fairfield County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center.
