Betty White Tanner

Betty White Tanner, 87, of Lake Monticello passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024.  Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Boonie and Ruby Dixon White. 

She is survived by her four sons, Bennie J. “Pete” Tanner, Jr. (Meloney), Keith Tanner, Lynn Tanner (Lyn), and Jeff Tanner (Annette); two sisters, Jean Douglas and Wallie Anderson; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Bennie J. Tanner, Sr., Betty is predeceased by a brother, Rev. James White. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Winnsboro.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the fellowship hall.  A burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty’s memory to Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
