Jane, So sorry to here about by our old friend Skip. I often think about all of us way back when at the fire house after bingo and carnival. I'm so glad Skip stayed with the fire service and shared his knowledge with so many others. God bless you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear of Skip's passing; yet am glad he is out of this earthly pain. Skip was a dedicated volunteer to our local Red Cross; as a volunteer instructor in First Aid and CPR and a dear friend as well as wife Jane. He served the Fairfield Community well for so many ways and put his life on the line fighting fires. God be with the entire family and give you peace. If you have time and care to look up a poem by Coleen Hitchcock that is entitled Ascension; it may give you some peace. Will be praying for you all!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Skip was very instrumental in my training as a firefighter. I had numerous classes under his teaching and he always took extra time to make sure I understood what he was teaching. He was truly a great man and instructor. He touched many lives and made a huge impact in South Carolina, especially Lancaster County. He truly lived the firefighter life style and was the true definition of " BROTHERHOOD". RIP my brother, job well done!

Please accept my condolences during this time of distress. While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Stanley, it saddens God more. There are many memories of him. In the days ahead, you will continue to reflect on his seemingly small, yet precious memories. This happens when we experience the loss of someone loved as Stanley. However, take comfort in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too. The difference is, God can and will restore perfect life to those in His memory as explained in the faith strengthening video link:

I am very sorry for your loss. Losing someone we love cuts so deep into our heart and all we want to do is to see and hold them again. The Bible promises that this will be possible in the near future. The Bible calls death an enemy that God is going to wipe away very soon! He will reverse it's effects and wake your precious Mr Stanley up. You will never have to fear letting go of his hand ever again. This is a promise from God!

Jane and Family, I am so saddened to hear of Skip's passing. Although I did not know him personally, I feel the heartbreak for you all, knowing all the trials and tribulations you endured through the years, and the great love he had for you Jane, your children, and your communities. Please think back on all the great memories your family, and friends made together, and find joy and laughter in those memories. That alone will keep him in your lives and in your hearts. I'm sure that's how he would want it to be. Again, my deepest sympathy to you all.
