Richard Ferguson

Richard Ferguson, age 90; born August 7, 1925, died June 1, 2016.

 Survived by his loving children, Lyn (Mark) Ostoich, Tom (Judy) Ferguson, Randy (Teresa) Ferguson; grandchildren Christopher (Meredith) Ostoich, Megan (John) Browarsky, Eric (Katie) Ostoich, Michelle (Kyle) Stewart, Kristina (Matt) Lischke, Colin (Fio) Ferguson and Connor Ferguson; great-grandchildren Genna, Daniel, Henry, William and Owen Browarsky, Scarlett and Theodore Stewart and Audrey Grace Ostoich; and brothers, Joseph (Sarah) Ferguson and Ernest (Betty Ann) Ferguson.

 Dick was born in Richmond, VA and grew up in Winnsboro, SC.  He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1947.  He married Elizabeth Randolph Bennett and was married to her for 65 years. After his service in the Korean War, he went to work for DuPont in Wilmington, DE and New Johnsonville, TN until his retirement.  Dick and Betty raised their three children and spent most of their married years in Waverly, Tennessee.

 For the past few years, Dick has resided at the Sunrise Senior Living Community in Johns Creek, Georgia. 

In celebration of his life, the family will have a graveside memorial service on Saturday, June 4, 2016, 11:00 AM, at St. John's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Winnsboro, S.C.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at http://act.alz.org/goto/richard_ferguson_go_navy.
