Phyllis Merritt Segars

Mrs. Phyllis Merritt Segars, 85, of Winnsboro passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017.  Born in Red Bank, SC, she was the daughter of the late George K. Merritt and Pansy Boozer Merritt. 

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth Segars; son, Kenneth Roger Segars; three daughters, Rhonda S. Lovett, Ellen S. Castles, and Allyson Raye Hall; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Vera Merritt Lindsay.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Bethel United Methodist Church conducted by Reverend Ally Deal.  Burial will follow in Royal Pines Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church.
