Marjorie Timms Dove

Marjorie Coleman Timms Dove, 98, of Winnsboro died Sunday, April 2, 2017.  Marjorie was the daughter of Andrew and Minnie Timms and the widow of Fitzhugh Henry Dove, Jr. 

She was a graduate of Queens College and taught school in Ridgeway and Great Falls until her retirement in 1985.  She was recently honored by a former student, Tom Wilson, to institute a program “#GoBeMrs,Dove” to inspire his teachers as she inspired him.

She was a member of Bethel ARP Church where she attended her entire life. 

Marjorie is survived by her children, Andria Hudson of Greenville, Fitz (JoAnne) Dove of Charlotte, NC, Martha (Tommy) Huguenin of Litchfield Beach, SC, and Charles (Susan) Dove of Winnsboro.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and according to “Nanny” umpteen great grandchildren along with special family friends, Kirk Stevenson and Mary Thompson.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Bethel ARP Church.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.  A private family burial will be held prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ARP Church, 101 N. Zion Street, Winnsboro SC 29180 or a charity of one’s choice.
