James "Bo" Smith

Funeral services for James D. Smith, 61, of Winnsboro will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 17, 2017 at Congregational Holiness Church conducted by Reverend Allen Thompson and Reverend Kenny Compton.  Burial will follow in the Nazarene Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday evening at Pope Funeral Home. 

Mr. Smith passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.  Born in Winnsboro, he was the son of the late JD and Frances Smith.  He was the Pastor of Congregational Holiness Church in Winnsboro.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Carolyn Sims Smith; two sons, Bill McMurray (Renee) and Allen Thompson (Crystal); one sister, Debbie Chaney (David); two grandchildren, Devin, and Cassie Thompson; and nephew, Al Humphries. 

In addition to his parents, Bo is predeceased by his first wife, Janice Smith and daughter, Jan Smith.
