Harold Rhyne Jones Sr.

Mr. Harold R. Jones, Sr., formerly of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Born in Camden, he was the son of John Peay and Ollie Mae Rhyne Jones and beloved husband of Elaine Ewing Jones. He graduated from Clemson College in 1948 with a degree in Textile Engineering. He was employed by Uniroyal and retired from Michelin.  Harold was a WWII veteran in the US Army and a member of St Johns Episcopal Church in Winnsboro. 

An avid Tiger fan, Harold was a member of Clemson IPTAY for 72 years. 

He is survived by his son, Harold Rhyne Jones, Jr. (Martha); daughter, Harriett J. Wylie (Bill); four grandchildren, Bill Wylie (Michelle), Glenn Wylie (Ashley), Morgan Bowie (Cal), and Natalie Christian (Mark); and six great grandchildren. 

In addition his parents and wife, Harold is predeceased by his brother, Clarence Lee Jones. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Johns Episcopal Church conducted by Reverend Susan Wright.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends after the committal in the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the EYC Garden in care of St Johns Episcopal, 301 W. Liberty Street Winnsboro SC 29180.
