Betty L Massey

Mrs. Betty L. Massey, 87, of Winnsboro passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017.  Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Roxie Branham Bowen. 

Mrs. Massey is survived by her son, Jimmy Massey; two daughters, Gail Massey Goode, and Linda Massey Irby (Sam); three sisters, Dot Smith, Brenda Hennessee, and Gwen Tidwell; six grandchildren, and several loving great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and husband, James Massey, Betty is predeceased by a brother, Sonny Bowen; and sister, Lillian Wilson. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 18, 2017 at Washington Street Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Dewitt Atkerson.  Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Street Baptist Church, 401 N. Vanderhorst Street, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
