Betty Hollis Deering

Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Hollis Deering, 87, will be held at 4:00pm Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Longtown Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by Reverend Timothy Tefft.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church. 

Mrs. Deering died on Sunday, May 22, 2016.  Born in Winnsboro on March 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late David Hollis and Hazel Poole Hollis.  She was a member of Longtown Presbyterian Church. 

Mrs. Deering is survived by two sons, David G. Deering and Gregory W. Deering; six daughters, Connie D. White, Linda D. Mattox, Kay D. Maes, Gwen D. Martin, Colette D. Weidemann, and Regina D. Swann; one sister, Norma Pipkin; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, David J. Deering, four brothers, John W. Hollis, Jim Hollis, Harold Hollis, and Ronnie Hollis, and two grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Betty’s memory to Longtown Presbyterian Church, 8010 Longtown Road, Ridgeway, SC 29130.
