While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Avery, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will continue to reflect on seemingly small, yet precious memories. This is only natural when we experience the loss of someone loved. However, be comforted in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too. The difference is, God can and will restore perfect life to those in His memory as explained in the video. In the meantime, God warmly invites you to trust in Him for comfort (2 Cor. 1:3,4). While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God's promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

I am sorry to hear of your loss. One of the most difficult things we have to deal with is the death of a loved one. The Bible promise; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
