Annie Charles "Charlie" Ashford

Annie Charles ‘Charlie’ Ashford, age 86, of Winnsboro, SC passed away on October 24, 2016 after a long battle with dementia and Parkinson’s disease.  She was born on June 4, 1930 in Blythewood, SC and was the only child of the late Annie Laurie Beckham Blackmon and the late Charles Manley Blackmon. 

She was predeceased by husband, Robert E. Ashford, infant twin daughters and infant grandson, Robert Ashford Smith. Mrs. Ashford is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Gail Ashford Hinnant (Thad) of Lexington and Linda Ashford Smith (David) of Blythewood and grandchildren Jane Hinnant Goldie (Travis) of Lexington and Marc Poston Smith of Blythewood.

A service celebrating Mrs. Ashford life will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 3 o’clock at Bethel United Methodist Church, 6688 State Hwy 269, Winnsboro, SC 29180.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends and family in the Church Fellowship Hall prior to the service beginning at 2 o’clock.
